What’s the difference between reserved and general admission seating?
Purchasing tickets to the Folsom Pro Rodeo is easy and frankly, there isn't a bad seat in the arena. Two types of seating is available, reserved ($24.50 all seats plus online service charge) and general admission ($19.50, $15 seniors/children under 12). Reserved seating, only available for purchase online, is a numbered seat. Online, if you are unclear on the best seating, just choose "best available" and let the computer do the rest. General admission is available online, at the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, Handley's Western Wear and Boot Barn locations. If you require ADA seating or have special needs, we ask that you call the Folsom Chamber of Commerce, (916) 985-2698 for assistance.
What is the best value Rodeo ticket package?
The Buckaroo Pack! Take advantage of this deal which includes four general admission tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for the bargain price of $65. These package deals go quickly and are only available online (a service fee applies).
Can I purchase tickets at the Arena?
So are you one of those last minute decision makers? Yes, the box office at the arena will be open beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets at the box office are $26 for reserved, $19.50 for general admission and $15 for seniors over 62 and youths 10 and under.
Does my 2-year-old need a ticket?
Yes, they do. Unless they are an infant and will sit in your lap the entire rodeo, all rodeo fans must have a ticket. Due to fire marshal regulations, no strollers are allowed in the arena.
What should I bring to the rodeo?
· A blanket to sit on (the cement bleachers can be warm)
· Sunscreen
· A hat and sunglasses
· A small, unopened bottle of water is OK
What is not allowed at the rodeo?
· Ice chests, food or beverages not purchased within the arena
· Strollers
· Pets of any kind (except service animals)
· Camera or Video equipment isnot allowed except by pre-approval this includes Mutton Busting
· We will supply a CD video of your child’s Mutton Busting performance.
· No weapons of any type (pocket knives, Leatherman tools, etc)
When should I get to the arena?
The rodeo gates open at 6 p.m. The roping events start at 7 p.m. If you have a general admission ticket and want that perfect seat, we suggest arriving close to that time. Put a blanket down on your seats and stroll out to the Cool Down Corral for dinner or snacks. There are a variety of dining choices for everybody’s taste. The Rodeo really heats up at 8 p.m. so if you have a reserved seat, be sure and be there before then.
Where is the Folsom Pro Rodeo?
The Folsom Pro Rodeo is held in the Dan Russell Rodeo Arena, adjacent to the Folsom Library, Zoo and City Hall. The closest cross streets are Stafford & Natoma Street. View our map page for more detailed driving directions.
Is there parking available?
Parking is available around the Folsom City Park. Parking is $8 and benefits the Folsom Citizens Aiding Public Safety.
Are there fireworks every night?
Yes, The Folsom Pro Rodeo is proud to continue the tradition of spectacular in-arena fireworks every night—Thursday July 4, Friday July 5 and Saturday July 6. There will also be a fireworks show as part of the Stars & Stripes Country concert on Saturday, June 29th.
Where can I see live music?
As soon as the fireworks fade, Mike’s Golden Spike Saloon heats up with live country music by the Chris Gardner Band on July 5 and July 6. On July 4, Michael Beck will heat up the evening. The Saloon features a full-bar for those 21 and older. The Saloon is open until midnight.
